Only 5% of all Southern California lawyers receive this distinction, which is based on professional achievements and peer recognition.
In previous years, Thakur received the Super Lawyer honor for Litigation in both 2021 and 2020. She was also selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers between 2016 and 2020, which is a designation given only to 2.5% of all attorneys in each state.

In her more than 16 years of legal practice, Thakur has concluded numerous state and federal jury and court trials to verdict, arbitrations, and administrative hearings that involve business, employment, real estate, personal injury, trust litigation, and family law matters. Thakur founded her own law firm in 2016 and her firm regularly represents clients in newsworthy, high-profile, and celebrity cases. Last year, she and her associate attorney obtained a unanimous jury trial verdict for her clients in federal district court for an international business dispute. She recently won a $2.05 million judgment in a complex real estate, business, and family law post-judgment case. She was also court approved as class action counsel for hundreds of teachers across the state in a wage and hour lawsuit.

She also acts as outside general counsel for various businesses and non-profit organizations due to her diverse background in the law.
Thakur graduated from the University of San Diego’s School of Law. She is multilingual in English, Spanish, Hindi, and Punjabi. Prior to starting her own law firm in 2016, Thakur served as a law firm senior associate for close to a decade. She acted as legal counsel in California’s first-ever binding federal jury trial arbitration and obtained a jury trial victory of more than $13 million in a case involving misappropriation of trade secrets.
